Marks, in the No. 32
Construct Corps Toyota, ran 30 laps total with a fast time of 28.908 seconds, an average speed of  and speed of 186.799 mph.
Thirty-seven cars utilized the two-hour session to dial in their cars for the Rattlesnake 150 on Friday. One caution period occurred for debris 45-minutes into the session. The practice was completed with only one incident, when the No. 12 Accell Construction Inc. Chevrolet spun without contact or damage.
Mikey Kile, driving the No. 25 Tag Heuer Eyewear Toyota, had the second fastest speed of 186.432 mph. Kile's teammate and Salem winner Steve Aprin drove his No. 55 Mike's Hard Lemonade Chevrolet to a third fastest speed of 186.149 mph.

Marks fast lap at over 186 mph is the fastest lap recorded by the ARCA Racing Series in some time. The only speeds quicker than those turned in practice this afternoon recently came during practice at Talladega Superspeedway in 2008, when Roush Fenway Development driver Ricky Stenhaus ran better than 190 mph in the draft. Marks top speed of 186.8 mph was more than 13 miles per hour faster than Frank Kimmels pole winning speed when the ARCA cars last competed at Texas Motor Speedway in September of 1998. Kimmels pole speed was 173.393 mph. Series officials credit the increased lap speeds to better race car aerodynamics, and much softer tire compounds than those used in ARCA's only other appearance at Texas.
